The Sony VX‑1 (also known in some markets as the CCD‑VX3) is a high‑end Hi‑8/analog 3‑CCD camcorder from Sony’s classic VX series, prized for its rich colour reproduction and robust imaging performance. Built as a prosumer model, it delivers accurate colour, manual exposure and focus controls, and a solid ergonomic design that influenced later MiniDV classics like the VX1000.
